This image was taken in the evening of 3 July 2015 while I stayed in Pouakai Hut in Mount Taranaki. Started around the mid night of 2 July, severe storm attacked this area, heavy rain with wind speed over 100 km/hour for almost 20 hours. I could feel the shaking of the hut all the time. It was a very special experience to be trapped in the hut under such extreme weather condition. However, by around 9:00pm on 3 July, the storm ceased and a full moon hang on the east side of the sky. I saw a moonbow was clearly across in front of the walkway of the hut towards the west direction, and made one single shot to capture this rarely seen scenery.
