Wanaka is a small town in Otago in South Island of New Zealand. This image was taken in Wanaka Lake in a late afternoon when the dusk was falling rapidly, while lights from the town provided some interesting backdrops.
Standing in the deep and freezing cold water to make this image, this probably was one of the toughest photography situations I encountered during this trip.

"Brilliant photo! You have created a story of nature against nature and nature against man. The soft blue tones are wonderful and help to create a very tranquil feeling and create a unity between sky, mountains and lake. The slightly longer exposure time gives the water that timeless feeling. All of that is great, but what I was alluding to at the beginning is the fact that you have this tree standing alone in the water - not necessarily the best place for a tree to be, so there is the tree against the lake. And then you have the lone tree and the civilization in the distant background, putting another level into the story. Super!!!"
