Devils Postpile National Monument is located near Mammoth Mountain in eastern California.

We started from Horseshoe Lake car park, hiking 8 miles for a whole day on the snow ground and camped at the boundary between Devils Postpile National Monument and INYO National Forest.

This photo was made during the pre-dawn period on 1 November 2013. It was a result of stitching 14 shots together so as to capture the entire Devils Postpile landscape. The final image presents an almost 180 degree super wide perspective that is far beyond our naked eyes' view.
