A winter morning in 2009, I arrived Coogee beach (Sydney, Australia) at 5.30am. The sky was still dark and it was raining. I planed to wait for a while to see if the rain could stop in a moment. Then I saw a small white curve over the sky on my right side. So I decided to take a photo of it. It was too dark to focus on any subject even with my small torch switched on. So I just manually adjusted the focal distance between 1 meter to infinity and a bit closer to infinity. I turned the aperture to f/2.8 to measure the shutter speed under IS0 200, then turned back to f/11. I would need about 8 minute exposure. Afterward I fired my remote shutter release. It was still raining, I used my hat to protected my camera and lens.

After 458 seconds exposure, I saw a complete Moon bow hanging over the sky - I found out later that it was a moon bow, not rainbow.
